It hasn't been for a lack of computer time (since I sleep w/ the crazy thing) it has just been a lack of laziness. Well, I have decided to go on another round of HCG. I did attempt it in late September but, some medical issues put a squash on that attempt and I thought what the hell....and quite! A LOT has happened since I last posted to my blog!

Lets see...my last posting was on June 28th - man that seems like a LONG time ago! At the time, I weighed in at 182.2 (being naked) but, when I went to my Dr. on June 29th, I weighed in at 188. So, for the sake of weight, I will go by her scale since, when I started protocol way back in February of 2009, my starting weight was about 230 - so 42 lbs total.

In mid-July, my husband and I went to S. Cali. for a week of vacation. We had a blast and food didn't stop me. When we got back to WA. I was up between 188-192. I didn't mind that at all since I still felt well. I was able to maintain thru August and Sept. just fine. In mid. Sept. thought, I thought it was time to push thru the last of the pounds I wanted gone (about 15-20 more) so, we started one last round. About 1 1/2 weeks into it, I started to get a pains in my abdomen - low and behold - I ended up w/ apendicitis and ended up in the ER having emergency surgery. Because of that, I didn't want to do the VLCD while my body was trying to heal so, I gave up the diet at that time and decided maybe when 2010 starts up again.

In November, I decided I wanted to join a gym - what a great investment that has been. I have never been so excited to work out and am finding I enjoy getting my sweat on! Me...work out?? I know huh!!! Needless to say, I feel the best ever however, for some reason, w/ the working out, my body seems to ALWAYS want food. So, I eat...not the good for you kind of stuff either! The last time I weighed myself (I quit doing the daily weigh in quite some time ago - in fact, one of my scales needs new batteries) I weighed in at 196. That means I am up 8 lbs since June - about 5 lbs since we got back from vacation in July. I will attribute some of the gain from muscle bulk (I noticed my thighs are getting bigger & have more muscle definition).

Well, tomorrow I start my VLCD again. I haven't decided if I am going to do a short round, or a long one. I do know we are going to San Diego in April so either way, I need to be done w/ vlcd before I step onto that airplane.

I will give you more info. as I go and will do my best to keep you updated. I currently have a co-worker who her and her husband just started protocol. My sister has one more load day and then will be on VLCD, my mom, cousin and cousins neighbor are all ordering supplies and I expect them to be active w/in the next few weeks.

Lighter later :) Michelle

R2 is OVER!!!!

OK big looser here!!! For two reasons... 1st R2P2 is OVER and I am down a total 45lbs in 2 rounds!! The other is that I haven't written in weeks! Can you figure out which of these options is positive and which is negative :) LOL!!

End results:
Michelle R2P2 LIW 182.2 Total melt for the R -23.5 all said -45.8 YEA ME!!!
Brian R1R2 LIW 196.5 Total melt -34.5

So, the last 1 1/2 wks have been pretty wild. I really wish I would have told you about them instead of waiting so long. Let me start w/ the 18th of June - I made a shower cake for a co-worker and ended up eating about 4inches worth. This was a BAD thing because it made me crave sugar in a BAD way for 3 solid days. Finally on June 20th I gave into the cravings and ate a bunch of lemon bars (I made them for a friends B-Day) then that night I went to a concert where during the intermission they gave out bite treats - I had 3 or 4....lets say 4! Shame Shame I know your name!!!! This lead to a gain that I had to work out - and I did but, geeze wizz - not where I wanted to be!

So on the 20th I went to a friends birthday party (I haven't seen them since February) and everyone there (who I knew) was in shock when they saw me. They couldn't believe how "thin" I looked. I saw one lady whom I had talked w/ tons of times. When I said HI she looked at me like I was a freak - later she admitted she didn't recognize me. She said my hair was way longer and the body much thinner....just like a new person ;) That felt pretty good!

I mentioned in earlier posts about my sister getting me some designer jeans. Well, when I first put them on, they were a bit too tight for my liking and I decided it may be a while before they went into the public w/ my body in them. Needless to say, this is not the case anymore. I have since worn them out 2x - they are comfy and fit nicely! In fact, I have since picked up 2 other pair to tool around in. My jeans are officially 12's... i don't know how long it has been since I have been able to wear those! Brian had been telling me not to buy in 34's cause he wasn't ready to be wearing such "small" clothes so, I bought him some 36 jeans and shorts. Yesterday he said "since you are going out....I don't mind if you look into getting me some 34 pants...the 36's are a bit baggy and require a belt" Such a man!!

Well, the next 3 weeks are all about getting the weight loss stabilized and maintaining what we have melted away. I go to the Dr's tomorrow to check in - I am sure she will be surprised! Today was our first "other" food day. I don't think Brian ate near enough and I feel like a stuffed pig. According to my calorie counter I short ate about 245 calories but, I feel like I ate 1000's more than I should have - we will see what tomorrow brings!

When on P3 (for the next 3 weeks) the goal is to keep our weight w/in 2lbs of LIW. If at anytime we go over the 2lbs we have to do a correction day. True protocol is a steak day - nothing to eat for breakfast or lunch then at dinner you get the biggest steak you can eat w/ an apple or raw tomato. I have heard about chicken, egg & protein shake correction days. But, as a beef eater, if I have to have one it will be steak. During R1 I never had a correction day. The highest I got was about 1lb over. I pray I have the same luck this time.

Well, I will go for now... more on Weds - my next day off! Lighter Later!

R2P2 Day 24

Well, if you look at my tickler - you will notice I am only 12.3 lbs from my goal of 175 and in the big 4-0 in fat melt. How frickin' cool is that?? I finally decided I needed to get into my closet and try on all my pants and remove the BIG ones from reach. As excellent as the idea was it was pretty sobering as well. I found I only have 3 pairs of long jeans that fit (had about 15 pair), 2 pair of non "blue" pants and 2 pair of Capri's (that I had just bought). Now I have to decided if I am going to go out and buy new pants (w/ the plan of going on R3 in early fall and dropping additional pant sizes) or if I should go to Value Village and see what they have? The quandary!

I have been feeling really good lately and have started to plan our new eating style when we are done w/ P2. In preparation I have been looking at a TON of cookbooks and am finding the same meals everyday are getting old. I think when I started P2 there is no light at the end of tunnel because it is so far to the end but, now..... I am only a mere 8 days and I know the next 8 days will FLY!!! Oh, I didn't mention that I am making a cake for work tomorrow. It is going to be chocolate and peanut butter - how yummy!

Well, here are the stats for today:

Results of Day 20 (Sat) compared to today Day 24 (Weds)
Michelle - R2P2
Saturday start: 189.2
Wednesday start: 187.3 (-1.9 from Saturday)
Round 2 total: -18.4

My round 2 totals are a bit better today (Day 24) then they were during R1. R1 day 24 drop total was -17.4....So, R2 is 1 lb better.... but, Day 25 on R1 showed a 1.8 drop. We will see what tomorrow brings. I keep talking about cutting out the SF white chocolate - I still haven't done it. I was saying it would happen today but, I think I am going to change my mind again. I think it is going to be my last week - so I will start on Monday morning - OK not really a week but, at least a few days :)

Cheers!

R2P2 Day 20

Well, its been since Wednesday hasn't it?? I actually had nothing to report! On Thursday morning I weighed down -.3 and Friday I had no activity. So, we will start w/ today!

Results of Day 20
Michelle - R2P2
Friday start: 191.4
Saturday start: 189.2 (-2.2 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -16.5

Frickin crazy huh?? So, I really don't know what to think! Since Auntie Flo decided to visit w/o recourse on Weds. night, I decided to skip my shots on Thursday and Friday. I really didn't have any issues, just some mild crazy cravings. I had read that this was the best course of action. I also read that once flo starts, the injections should stop for a couple of days...so...I did it! I also read that when some women start to ovulate they tend to have issues getting rid of weight and experience stalls. Could this have been my issue over the last 2 weeks? I started getting the cramping almost 2 weeks ago...I went with it... then I had 2 days of CRAZY flo and then a historic loss? I just don't get the whole female internal body thing!!

On another note - Brian (as of yesterday) was down 24.3 lbs. He can only rid himself of 9.7 more before he has to be taken off of the shot. At this rate, he could be off by the end of next week? Such a punk!! My sister started this past Sunday w/ her 1st VLCD day on Wednesday. In 3 days she is down about 5.5-6 lbs. She isn't keeping really good track but, she is down and pleased. Her BF did however, bring home a bunch of sugar snacks last night and then got pizza for him & Savannah to eat. What kind of support is that Lyle?

Well, I have a friend who is wanting to start today. I am going over to her house to walk her thru it. No, it really isn't that bad. Remember me saying yesterday how I ate dinner again late last night? It was about 8:15-8:30 - I had tomato soup w/ chicken. It was super tasty but, I was actually full after eating 1/2 of if but, since I wanted all my protein and didn't want to waste, I ate the whole bowl (yes I really ate the bowl!)...No really, it was just the food inside of it :)

I bought a new scale today - it is one of those fancy ones that measures BMI, body hydration and it will tell me immediately if I gained or lost over night. I got it 50% off at Kohl's. I told Brian I got a new one and he told me he was going to keep using the old one because it has been super nice to him lately! Brian also reminded me he can only loose 10 more lbs before he has to be cut off the liquid gold. I only have one thing to say to him - PUNK ASS!

Today I went shopping and bought a couple more pairs of shorts (they were only $5 at Target) and can you believe they were size 12? It still catches me off guard... I also went to my Safe Deposit box today. Guess what I did? I had to put my replacement wedding band (the original one's diamond fell out) into the box because it is getting to big for me and I am to cheap to get it sized (actually will wait until I am done melting all my fat - maybe by the holidays?). I replaced it with the original engagement ring Brian got me....We didn't use that as the wedding ring because we wanted matching wedding bands. Technically I have 5 engagement/wedding bands. Sick huh!

So, I think TOM is actually coming... for almost a week I had been having these crazy totally random cramps. They would last about 5-10 min. and then go away for hours and hours and then happen again. Now I know what that was all about - no sudden trips to the Dr.'s needed now!

I got some great new cookbooks today. I got an ice-cream (Ice Dream) book. All the recipes are dairy-free & Gluten free. Some of them are made w/ stevia so they will be P3 friendly for me and they will be excellent for Brian since he is lactose intolerant. I am totally excited to start making some of these... Another new book is all about Gluten free cooking - more on that later - for now I need to get through the next 18 days before I start thinking about this!

Have a great day!

R2P2 Day 16

So, it feels like it has been a life time since I have been on here... Again, I am sorry! Brian and I were up on the scales this weekend (me more than him) and not too motivated to tell you about it!! I am over it now (so is he) and I am ready to spill.... Side note..Brian asked me if I was blogging' his progress too. I said 'yes'...so, do you think he should be given the link so he knows what I have said about him????hee hee

Results of Day 13
Michelle - R2P2
Friday start: 192.4
Saturday start: 193.1 (+.7 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -12.6

Brian - R1P2
Friday start: 211.5
Saturday start: 211.0 (-.5 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -20.0

Results of Day 14
Michelle - R2P2
Saturday start: 193.1
Sunday start: 193.7 (+.6 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -12.0

Brian - R1P2
Saturday start: 211.0
Sunday start: 211.4 (+.4 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -19.6

Results of Day 15
Michelle - R2P2
Sunday start: 193.7
Monday start: 193.2 (-.5 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -12.5

Brian - R1P2
Sunday start: 211.4
Monday start: 210.4 (-1.0 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -20.6

Results of Day 16
Michelle - R2P2
Monday start: 193.2
Tuesday start: 191.6 (-1.6 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -14.1

Brian - R1P2
Monday start: 210.4
Tuesday start: 209.1 (-1.3 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -21.9

So, there you have it - the last 4 days of weight journals. I was looking at my progress from R2 day 16 vs that of R1 day 16 and so far, this round has been more successful. I was pretty surprised considering the gains I had. This time during R1 I had melted 13.3lbs of fat. I am doing slightly better this time! I hope to be at 185 by time we are done w/ our 35 shots....Only time will tell.

Brian is already asking me when we get to start our next rounds. I told him I wanted to take at least an 8 week break. I took 7 weeks between R1 & R2 and I think that was perfect. One of my co-workers (you know who you are!) told me that my weight loss was much more noticeable during the maint. phase then when actively taking the shots... I am sure it was the movement of the chub!

So do you want to know the hypothesis of my gains on Saturday and Sunday? Well here you go.... I promise you that these days were relatively protocol. By looking at the increase in weight you would think I went to an all you can eat buffet! But, that's not the case.

I decided it was because one of 3 reasons:

1. I am still using SF white chocolate powder (which is NOT on protocol but the stuff tastes so damn good). The amount I am using is equal to 25 cal./svg. And as my OK to use it I gave up the grissini/Melba each meal.

2. I was eating sweet onions as my vegetable each of those days (one day I ate two at dinner time). Again, these are soooo good! I slow cooked them on the grill and they were perfect plus, one day I made onion soup (my favorite P2 food)

3. (The most likely reason) We didn't eat dinner until almost 10pm both of those nights (Fri & Sat).

Now in regards to #1 - I started putting the SFWCP back into my diet on Day #10 and used it thru day #14 (so 5 days). Each day (minus Fri & Sat) my loss averaged 1/2 lb. So, I am thinking that if I keep it in my diet for now I will melt about 1/2 lb per day.. sounds logical but, either way, I didn't have ANY on Monday morning (when I drink my coffee) and was down over a 1lb this morning....hmmm... so, maybe I will just stay away from it until P3 in which case it will be used twice as much!

#2 I Have chosen to give up the sweet onions... It seems that periodically they are OK but, back to back meals maybe not recommended. I do remember on R1P2 there were a couple of times when I made onion soup I had small losses or slight gains the next day. Something for me to keep an eye on!

#3 It only logical that its never good to eat late. I must get better at that.. tonight was another late dinner night - it was almost 8:15 by time I ate. My DH came in and said "remember what happened this weekend? You better hurry and get dinner". I am glad he is watching out for me!! I hope I am able to register a loss tomorrow. I can feel the salt from tonight's dinner absorbing into my fingers (I had tomato soup w/ chicken).

Well, you will find out more tomorrow. If all else, you will at least be given the weight update. I am looking forward to a nice day...maybe I will do laundry..Oh YEA!

Lighter Later!

R2P2 Day 12

Well, I hope you can handle this every other day thing... I asked him if he drank all of his water yesterday (it was hot and he was outside most of the day) and he said he didn't know. Plus, I told him we had a VERY late dinner. I don't think we at until 9:30 or 10, which no matter what eating plan you are on is not a good thing.

Me, on the other hand, was slightly surprised I was down this morning. I have decided to give up my grissini/melba toast on the daily basis in exchange for 1 1/2 scoop of sugar free white chocolate powder for my Americanos. Really not RECOMMENDED while on P2 but, this is what I want to do. In the last couple of days my void has averaged 1/2lb per day. I may have to cut back but, for now....this will be fine. I will keep you in touch w/ what happens there. The SFWCP (sugar free white choc powder) is made w/ all sorts of bad stuff and is sweetened w/ Splenda. I am sure I am craving it because it is one of my food sensitivities!

Over all the past few days have been pretty good. I think TOM may be coming soon... I say think because in all my years, I have never had a "typical" TOM. I have PCOS and went almost 4 yrs. w/ a period...Lately, since Sunday - every couple of days I have been getting these really sharp cramping feelings ... i hope its TOM and not something else. guess we will have to wait and see what the weekend brings. If all else, I call the Dr. on Monday.

Well, off to make lunch - think it's onion soup day for me!

R2P2 Day10

I guess it has been a couple days huh???? I told him to wait until he came home during his lunch break and weigh again then... After all, he was up almost 5 hours earlier then normal - didn't get home from work until 11:30 last night so, his body needed some rest time. Well, he didn't listen to me and stepped on the scale until it registered a loss - what you see above for 10 day is a result of that.

I keep getting clothes at Costco and am finding that I sort of skipped from the 14's to the 12's. I don't understand that. I think I made mention I bought some capri's I needed to take back. Well I got some 14 shorts that I tried on when I bought them and they fit fine. I didn't take the tags off (this has been about 2-3 weeks) and I put them on yesterday and they were a bit baggy - back to Costco to go down a size. I ordered a few new T-shirts I sure hope they work. I still think I am super broad across the shoulders and w/ longer arms I have a hard time finding tops. We will see what happens!

Well, I may come back later and share but, I have to head out to run errands. I would like to get them done before noon. Lighter Later!

R2P2 Day 8

Results of Day 8
Michelle - R2P2
Sunday start: 197.0
Monday start: 195.7 (-1.3 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -10.0

Brian - R1P2
Sunday start: 215.5
Monday start: 215.2 (-0.3 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -15.8

Brian made mention tonight that he was disappointed in his loss. I told him not to worry and then showed him my R1 progress sheet. Good losses in the first week then drizzly at best after that. He lifted his shirt for me and it is AMAZING how it has been working for him thus far. I still wish he would have allowed me to take some before shots.

So I am amazed I did so well on the scale this morning. As I think I mention yesterday, I didn't get dinner on Saturday night (only ate an orange) and then yesterday I went grocery shopping w/o eating lunch first. By time I got to the co-op to purchase a few things I was STARVING and getting a bit queasy. So, I got a protein ball. Just a small little raw cookie thing. It had enough calories/fats as one lunch so, I didn't eat anything else til dinner. I think my poor eating rolled over into today as well.... I was really wanting one of my iced Americano coffees w/ Sugar Free white chocolate powder. Needless to say, I caved and got one. Each scoop of powder is 35 calories so, I just got one scoop and decided to bag the grassini's today to make up for it. I think it would have been fine if one of my co-workers didn't put 4 mini crackers on my desk. I was tempted to toss them but, since she was there, I couldn't be rude. Long story short, I think tomorrow will be a gain day. Lesson learned? I sure hope so!!

So, I went to Costco (you would think its the only store in town huh??) and bought a pair of Navy Blue Gloria Vanderbilt capri pants in a size 14. They were too big (I love it when clothes run big) I had to take them back to get a 12. They fit like a gem :) The 7 For All Mankind jeans my sister bought me are still a bit muffin top for me. I can get them buttoned but, the shirt would have to go over my ass to pull the pants off :)

Well, its been an hour since I had my dessert (strawberry slushy) so, I think it's safe to go to bed now. Lighter Later!!

Strawberry Slushy
allowed handful of strawberries
4 drops of lemon juice
12 oz cup 3/4 full of ice topped w/ water
8 drops of vanilla creme stevia

Blend like no tomorrow and drink away. It was very good. I think I might try w/ oranges tomorrow night. I LOVE creamsicles!

R2P2 Day 7

Results of Day 7
Michelle - R2P2
Saturday start: 199.5
Sunday start: 197.0 (-2.5 from prior day)
Round 2 total: -8.7

Brian - R1P2
Saturday start: 217.2
Sunday start: 215.5 (-1.7 from prior day)
Round 1 total: -15.5

Well, I survived yesterday!!! My sister and I decided to take my mom to the Coach outlet store in North Bend and then to the Snoqualmie Casino as a birthday gift yesterday. This of course, was part of a great plan for a surprise BD party our step dad was throwing for her - it was our chore to keep her out of town and away from the house - MISSION SUCCESSFUL!

We had a great time but, as you can image, so far from home...what to do for meals. Dumb me, didn't pack anything no lunch, no fruit no nothing. We got the casino about noonish and thinking my mom was hungry was excited lunch was just around the corner. No such luck, she saw the slots and immediately wanted to play. About 2 hrs. later we got to go to their deli. Luckily the Casino had a "Cobb salad" available. When I ordered it, I asked for just the lettuce and the grilled chicken breast. Nothing else... They thought I was bit weird but, went with it. About 3 min. after placing the order the chef came out of the kitchen to make sure he was reading the order correctly. The salad came and it was as fabulous as romaine & chicken could be. I was so hungry by then I wanted some of my mom's fries! I prevailed and stayed away from them. As soon as I ate, I was feeling fine...

Now roll ahead to 4:30-5 .. I was craving my fruit but didn't have anything to eat so, when I went to Costco to pick up her birthday cake (remember, I was now on my way to her surprise BD party - at yet another Casino) I decided to buy a box of oranges... I ate one on my way to the next establishment - thank god for snacks like this!! Once again I was satisfied! Once I got to the banquet room, I remembered my step dad said he was doing a buffet style dinner for everyone (lasagna, rolls, garlic bread, veggies, Caesar salad - dressing already mixed). Once again, nothing for me. To make matters worse, this casino didn't have any healthy options so, I chose not to eat. NOT GOOD and NOT RECOMMENDED! On my way home (11pm) I ate another orange. Needless to say, I went down 2.5lbs yesterday but, didn't get my calories in so, I feel like I cheated - almost as bad as eating something I shouldn't have!

Well, lesson learned: be more prepared and thank goodness for the fruit in the car :) Well, I am off. I need to start preparing for this coming week and get my husbands protein rations weighed out. He is doing an amazing job. He is following protocol to the T. Even taking the 125 cc shots. He is DETERMINED to make this a life time change. This will definitely make things easier for me in the future!

Lighter Later!

R2P2 Day 6

Results of Day 5
Michelle - R2P2 Day 5
Thursday start: 202.8
Friday start: 201.6 (-1.2 from Prior Day)
Round 2 total: -4.1

Brian - R1P2 Day 5
Thursday start: 220.9
Friday start: 218.1 (-2.8 from Prior Day)
Round 1 total: -12.9

Results of Day 6
Michelle - R2P2 Day 6
Friday start: 201.6
Saturday start: 199.5 (-2.1 from Prior Day)
Round 2 total: -6.2

Brian - R1P2 Day 6
Friday start: 218.1
Saturday start: ??? How long has that been?? Let me tell you it has been FOREVER!!! I am so excited about this. Yesterday was going to be questionable for me. Why you ask? Well, in the past, whenever I ate a Costco Caesar salad for lunch I always gained the next day. So what did I do differently you ask? Well, I really don't know! I think I took extra time to pick the parma. cheese they pile onto the salad. In the past I just pushed it to the side but, didn't take much thought on what was left over - so ate it. And then again, maybe it was the incredibly late dinner last night? I had a huge pile of cucumbers and halibut. It was so yummy. It was the first time I actually enjoyed that fish. Typically I am a 100% salmon girl. I can eat that stuff all day.

Today was my largest weigh in loss since starting R2 and now I am 6.2lbs down1. When on R1 at this time (day 6 of VLCD) I had melted away 5 lbs. For the first week of R2 - I am doing much better during R1. I would rather have the consistent 1lb melts then having 2lbs melts one day and then .4 the next any day!

Brian mentioned last night that he was feeling a bit sluggish and extra sleepy. As I was reading other posts on Happily Thinner After it appears to be normal w/ guys. Towards the end of their first weeks, the body is in full detox mode and gets sluggish. But, by time they are into their 2nd week, that starts to normalize. I have given him the choice of increasing his dose or holding out. I don't know what he is going to choose. Surprisingly enough, he has been following protocol to the T. His shots are 125cc and eating the recommended 500 cal. Even w/ all that he is kicking ass in the weight loss factory. He told me he can see a change in his belly already. I really wish he would have let me take before pictures. Oh, which reminds me, I did take some R2 before pictures. I will post them when I get to R2P3 - stay tuned for some scary shit!

Today could be an interesting day! I am going to breakfast w/ my mom and sister and we will be hanging out for most of the day. Then tonight, we are hanging out w/ some friends. I really have to make sure I am w/in protocol and drink my water or I could show up tomorrow. And, I don't want that - I don't want to see 200+ on my scale EVER again!

Well, I will let you know how today goes in a posting tomorrow. Have a great day and lighter later!

R2P2 Day 4

WHOO HOO - I just updated my weight ticker and I am no longer considered OBESE! Guys do that you know! So, we were talking about how things were going, of course I want to watch him and how he is reacting to the lesser food - I hear guys sometimes feel like their injections should be more or should be able to eat extra protein. Up until today, he has been doing well w/ 125cc shots and the 100grams of protein for each meal. Come to find out, he decided to cook up the extra white fish in the fridge. Well, that only amounted to about 50-60grams - 1/2 of what he should have had for the meal. Plus, he spent a large amount of the day out side working in the yard. Its been warm so, he sweated a lot. I hope he kept the fluids going.

He has been so impressive w/ the weight loss. I told him that his weight is starting to decrease and I didn't want him to get discouraged. Isn't that what happens to us? We loose great then suddenly when we don't loose enough or get a small gain we freak out? Maybe that's just me! I am really proud of him.

As for me, things are going as good as can be expected. I did lick my fingers once during my cake decorating class. Hopefully that doesn't cause too many issues for the morning. If I have a small gain I think it will be because I didn't eat dinner until 9pm. Right now its 9:40 and I am crazy tired and want to go to bed but, should let the food settle a little bit - so here I am ;) I wouldn't have eaten so late but, I got off work at 5:30 and class started at 6:00 - no time to run home and fix dinner first... bummer... just glad I had some strawberries to nibble on.

I drank my water and went potty lots - so that is a good sign - no salt retention going on!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well on their program! Take care - lighter later!

R2P2 Day 3

Stats first:
Michelle - R2P2 Day 3
Yesterday: 206.3
Today: 204.6 (-1.1 from yesterday)
Round 2 total: -1.1

Brian - R1P2 Day 3
Yesterday: 224.5
Today: 222.3 (-2.2 from yesterday)
Round 1 total: -8.7

Pretty amazing how Brian is doing huh?? Punk Ass guys!!! He might start slowing down in a week or so, I told him when he starts to plateau he will need to just go with it. I don't want him to get frustrated and quite cold turkey or do something silly like eat junk food. He is following it to a T though. He told me this morning (again) that his coffee is rockin' w/ the stevia and the fruit at night is perfect. WTG Bri!!

As for me, I was down this morning. I expected that. I did good yesterday - drank my liquid, ate my fruit etc... Here it is 11:45 in the am and I still haven't had anything to drink today. I need to get off the computer and go make my tea. This is my doom. Waiting until to late in the day to start drinking and then I don't get my full 2L in. Not this time - I am going to do it!! I have the power.

Well, I really need to get some stuff done today (its my day off) and playing on the puter isn't going to help accomplish ANYthing! Well, wait until I tell you about Saturday's menu and Sunday? Let's just say that by Monday morning weigh in I had gained .5 lbs from Friday. Doesn't sound bad does it? But listen to this I lost 2lbs from Friday am to Saturday am - wholly kaakaa huh?!? As I mentioned earlier my DH Brian is joining me this round. He officially started R1P2 on Friday as well. He is pretty impressed on the diet so far. He works retail and has the crappy hours at work (doesn't get home til 11:15pm some nights). In the past, he would get home (no matter how late) and hit the kitchen cabinets. Well, yesterday was his first VLCD day and when he got home at 11:30 he got his fruit. He decided that worked quite nicely for him so, decided he would do the same thing tonight when he gets home. So, let me tell you about our stats quick like (nothing is quick w/ me... had you going huh?!?)..

Brian:
Start weight: 231
Load day#2: didn't weigh in
Load day #3: 226.9
R1P2 day#1: 228.0 (he ate up a storm on Load day#3 so, Day 1 is really precursor to VLCD)
R1P2 day#2: 224.5 (he said he weighed himself 3 times this am and got the same weight)
Loss w/ one day VLCD -6.5

Such a punk huh? Actually, he has told me several times that he is VERY motivated to make this work for him. His goal is 25lbs by the end of June. Luckily, for him, he is one who can eat the same thing everyday and be OK w/ it. Me on the other hand, I need to mix it up.

His only down fall right now is that he is addicted to carbonation - he LOVES soda pop. So, to fix that craving, we got him some sparkling water and flavored Stevia. It seems to be working for him. He has decided he loves his vanilla stevia as well. In fact he told me yesterday that when this is all said and done, he doesn't think he is going to use french vanilla creamer in his coffee anymore because the Stevia tastes better...go figure! I just might need to get the purse travel packets of Stevia so I can flavor my iced coffee (I like Sugar Free white chocolate powder in mine - NOT P2 friendly though).

Michelle:
R1 total fat void -23.0 (Its NOT a loss because this is something I DONT want to find!!!)
Start weight: 205.7
Load day#2: 203.7
Load day#3: 204.2
R2P2 day#1: 206.2
R2P2 day#2: 206.3
Gain w/ one full day VLCD +.6

OK - so I gained - one thing to keep in mind is my weight on R2P2 day #1 was done early in the am on Monday and would reflect the weight from EVERYTHING I ate during load day #3. As for the gain this morning - day #2? That could be from anything. To tell you the truth, I didn't drink much yesterday - I think I was down 1L of water and ate a TON of salt on Sunday so, could be water retention. Now, if I wake up in the morning and have another gain, well, we (me) will have issues. I expect I will be be down though. While at work, I drank my tea's, coffee's and water and felt like I was in the restroom every 15 minutes.

I will keep you informed as to the progress. As mentioned in an earlier post, I want to keep this up to date during our P2. I think this will help keep things in perspective. Plus, I have been reading other couple's posts and it appears the guys sometimes need larger doses of HCG - right now, Brian is taking the protocol recommended 125cc and eating the 100grams of protein and isn't having issues. But, then again, he has only completed 2 full days of VLCD. I told him the soonest we would make changes is either Friday or Saturday - I wanted the icky stuff out of his body before drastic changes are made.

Well, I am out of here for now. Keep posted - more to come :)

R2P1 Day 2

Good Morning!! Am I a looser or what??? It's OK if you say both because it would be the truth! A looser cause I have been so dang lazy to get in here and say HI and give you some sort of progress (which means a really long posting today). And a looser because I had a successful P3/P4! (Hee hee I make me laugh!!)

Well, as you can see by the title of this posting I am back on Protocol (well almost - we are 'beefin' up). I went to the Dr.'s yesterday to get my HCG and she was impressed w/ my progress and thought I looked good... I will take it... that is my GOAL (to look good)!! So, I weighed in and was down 3lbs on her scale from my last visit - whoo hoo! Now granted, that was not what was expected, I was expected to stay at my last injection weight - but what are you to do. Actually, to tell you the truth, I bought my coffee yesterday morning and the girl put real white choco powder in my drink instead of sugar free - so, I didn't drink it (coffee is MY breakfast) and nothing in my stomach when I had the office visit. Needless to say, the whole time in her office my stomach was growling like no ones business. When I left she told me to stop and get some lunch :)

If I hadn't mentioned before, I am taking a cake decorating class w/ my mom. For the most part, I have managed to stay away from frosting (up til yesterday)... So listen to how ridiculous this is... I take my injection at the Dr.'s - which means I need to start loading up the fats the next 3 days (this is how she works - load Fri, Sat, Sun - VLCD start on Mon). So, when I left her office (my weight w/ clothes was 205 - LIW was 205.4 naked) I exchanged my 32oz coffee (yes it was HUGE!) and went to Taco Time and got a Veggie Taco w/ Ranch dressing. I then went back to work. Sitting in my cube waiting for me, was one of my homemade cupcakes w/ shortening frosting - Holey Smackers was that good - I ate 3/4 of it! I then went to dinner at the Vietnamese Restaurant and had a fresh spring roll w/ peanut dipping sauce and what I call 'Char-boiled pork egg roll noodle salad'. It has a fried spring roll cut up, pork & shrimp on a skewer, rice noodles and veggies... it was delish! Then, when I got home, the DH had smoked a chicken and I think I ate about 1/4 of it. Not because I was hungry but because it tasted so good. Today I need to add more fats, I really don't want to get into VLCD and get hungry the 1st day!

Anywhoo.. The DH is doing this round w/ me. He is R1 and chose to NOT go thru the doctors office so, we bought all of his supplies. In talking to the Dr. yesterday it sounds like she purchases her supplies thru the drugca site? Brian (the DH) is super excited and is expecting grand results. As I am expecting some good ones as well. I hope to drop another 20 lbs and he is hopeful for the same.

Well, I will give more data and info tomorrow. It is after 10 and I have a place I need to be by 11 (I haven't even showed yet :)

Have a great day and lighter later!!!!

R1P4 Day 42

Greetings and Salutations to all!! Another week has gone by - such a slacker I am. As much time as I spend in front of the computer you would think I would be better. I think last week I promised more activity..didn't happen!! Well, how about if I promise more frequency when I start R2P2? My first injection will be on Friday May 22, followed by 3 days of loading. My first VLCD will be Memorial Day...Fun huh?? I am pretty excited about my next round for, my DH will be joining me. He is very stoked and is planning on loosing 20 lbs during his first 35 day cycle. Personally, I think it will be closer to the max weight of 30lbs. Guys always do well and he is determined.

As of this morning I was at 204.2 or 204.4 (I can't remember right now) but, it is still less than LIW. I must say I have maintained excellently!! Lately, I have been addicted to my 24oz iced SF white chocolate americano. But, since the ingredients in the SF white chocolate aren't the best, I will need to give them up during my P2 days. I will move to the 24oz iced Vanilla Creme (stevia) americano's.

The last 2 days I have gained and I know it was due to cheese consumption. Although I am not as lactose intolerant as my DH (he can't have w/o getting stomach cramps and all that come w/ it) I know I have a small intolerance - so why do I put myself thru the pain?? Probably cause it tastes so damn good :) If I am going to eat cheese products, I really need to stick to mozzarella or goat cheese - everything else makes me feel bloated and constipated - ick! Take yesterday, for example, prior to lunch (noon) I hit the restroom 3x. As soon as I ate I only went 2x until bed - talk about quick reaction to sodium. Plus, I almost immediately felt bloated.

I have also noticed that if I eat at a restaurant then I need to consume an obscene amount of water while there and after the meal. This has helped w/ keeping the weight from skyrocketing the next day. .. again the sodium.

By the way, I now have a bag FULL of clothes that need to goto charity. Most of the pants are so big...I think after my next round I will do some shopping. Right now, I will get some basics to get me by :)

Well, today is a new day - I have lots of errands to run so, off I go. Have a great day and much success!!

R1P4 Day 35

I didn't realize it had been a week since I last posted...YIKES! Ever so sorry!! I need to be better at this. If if makes you feel any better, I haven't even been watching TV. I don't know where my time has been but, it hasn't been w/ the computer or TV!

Anyhow, I have had several ups and downs over the past week. This past Saturday I went to a Bunco party and the theme was "Mexican" and since it was Bunco - it was a snack-luck. I knew there weren't going to be too many healthy options for me so, I went prepared to not eat. That lasted about 8 minutes. I filled my plate w/ veggies (something healthy right?!) and some rice crackers. All was good until the Rotelle & Velveeta came out... OMFG!! I at about 12 dipper chips loaded w/ melted cheese. They were so good. Within about 10 min. of eating them, I could feel my fingers swell up. I knew it was going to be doom on Sunday morning. Needless to say, I was up on Sunday and thought about doing a correction day (was .2lbs from the "2lb" over mark) but, I decided to hold off and drink lots of water. By Monday morning, I was back down. As of this morning, I was at 204.0. This is a difference of -1.4lbs from my LIW.

I am pretty stoked I have been able to maintain over the past 35 days. I have been eating rice and foods w/ sugars (BBQ sauce & dried fruit) but, have stayed away from sugar chocolates, dairy, wheat, potato and corn products. I think this has made a world of difference as well. The only dairy I have had (with the exception of the SF white chocolate powder in my Americano's) is some yogurt. I ate some plain yogurt w/ several drops of the Valencia Orange liquid Stevia to assist in some stomach issues. Other than that all has been good. Every once in a while I have a craving but, that is usually when I haven't eaten and find myself getting hungry.

I found some new ice creams (my weakness!!) which are sooo tasty. They are made w/ coconut milk and sweetened w/ agave syrup. No processed corn syrups, cane sugar, dairy or soy....and yummy goodness. They have several flavors (Chocolate, Mint Swirl, Coconut) which are all delish. Lately one of my biggest addictions has been flavored nuts by Sahale. They are sort of pricey but, the flavor combinations are out of this world. I had vanilla cranberry cashews, lemongrass flavored nuts.. on and on... very tasty!!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to keep up on this a bit better. Tomorrow night I start cake decorating class w/ my mom and one of her co-workers.. I need to make sure to keep the piggies out of the frosting ;) Take care!!

P3D29: Only 1 day left in April!!

P3 DAY: 29
LIW : 205.4
Date of LIW: 4/1/09
Today' weight: 203.0
# above/below LIW: -2.4#
gain/loss from yesterday: +1.1 (last post of Sunday)

Only one more day left in April....AMAZING!!! How this month has flown by! Seems like yesterday I was bitching about having the pay the IRS this year...now its a mute point, the money is gone and the debt is paid!

B - 24oz ice coffee w/ SF white chocolate powder (I was going to quite the SF WCP but, who am I kidding?? Its just way to good!)
L - 6oz baked salmon, 1/2 c green beans, 3 c home cooked beets w/ vinegar (can't wait until those go thru the system!)
S - Lg. Fugi Apple & about 5-6 Russell Stovers SF chocolates (maybe even 7 - have to look in my desk drawer - I may have eaten them ALL).
D - 9oz pan fried salmon and another 3c or so, beets. Oh yea.... I almost forgot (Shame shame) I ate the topping off of 3 slices of my husbands Digornio Pizza - luckly he did't mind too much :)

I almost didn't eat dinner last night. I really wasn't hungry but, didn't want to goto bed w/o something in the gullet. I think all of the candy earlier in the day jacked my stomach up. On top of that **TMI ALERT** I had a 1 1/2 day visit from TOM - mind you, I have PCOS so, TOM usually stays away unless drug induced (the pill). (I went 3 yrs w/o him in my life because I wouldn't take the BC pill...) Anywhooo, this is our first visit since Feb. (when I quit taking the pill). It was like a nasty little suprise!! Puff Puff Bloat Bloat!! That is one reason I didn't post anythign the past 2 days. Water retention was NOT my friend!

My sister and I are going out today. She is going to be in town for some beauty appts. and to keep from cleaning the house or doing laundry, I am going to go hand w/ her. I think we ar going to get our piggies done. Which I typically hate! My feet are extra dry and I hate it when they go to scrape the heals and start talking in a language I don't understand. HELLO - I know you are talking about me!!! Can't you wait until I leave before you start talking about my disqusting feet?? Anyhow, I know we are going out for lunch. I just don't know where.. I am thinking sushi again (addicted much?) or maybe the casino? I did eat at the casino buffet on Monday Night, gained a small amt. yesterday but, not bad. Lots of salt in/on their food choices but, I think what got me the most was that it was BBQ nite. So everything had BBQ sauce (sugar) on it. It was tasty but, sweet. I stayed away from the desert bar which was amazing. Even our friends were impressed w/ my conviction!!

Well, ligher later - have a great day!

Sunday - P3D25

Greetings and salutations - Happy Sunday!!! As some may know, I am a member of www.happilythinerafter.com . It is a great site and is dedicated to those taking HCG. They have several forums for whatever level you are on w/ your HCG. For example, there are several forums w/ P3 friendly recipes (yes, there is some P2 recipes, you just have to watch for the "creative" ones) then even have an area where people have posted before and after pictures. I am in awe each time I check out the latest postings. Each time I go in there, it makes me wish I had taken before and afters. But not to worry, when I start R2 again, I will take before pictures, I will even use an accurate tape measure to take my measurements!!! Anyhow, when I start to post in here (while on P3/4 anyway) I am going to most my weight as of the current day, and then will post my meals from what was eaten yesterday, to get to todays weight. Make since? So, it will look something like this:

DAY: 25
Today' weight: 201.9
# above/below LIW: -3.5
# gain/loss from yesterday: +1.0

Here is my meal breakdown:
B - some McD's apples (I ate 1/2 my dog got the other 1/2) & 24 iced Americano w/ SF white choco. powder
S - 2 almond/agave truffles
L - Thurston County Roll (8-10 pieces) made with Garlic albacore tuna, avocado & cucumber on top of salmon, white tuna, ahi tuna, yellow tail & red snapper with 3 kinds of tobiko (rice & seaweed - wasabi & low sodium soy sauce)
S - hand full of seasoned cashews & hand full of dried mango's.
D - Chicken Cordon Blue (breading picked off as much as possible), broccoli, cauliflower & thin slice (1/4 inch) wedge of watermelon.
S - 24oz iced Americano w/ SF white chocolate SYRUP (drank at 11:00pm).

I didn't bother adding the calorie counts. Since I had lost almost 5lbs being sick, I knew I had some wiggle room. On thing that I have noticed is that under any other diet plan (execept this one) as soon as I start feeling better, I hit the carbs (sugar & breads) hard and heavy. I am proud to say that I refrained from doing this and didn't give into temptation!

As you can see (by the sushi roll), I finally added rice to my palate! And let me tell you how wonderful it was!!! No, I wouldn't do that, you can only imagine though....wait, yes, I will.... this is my blog! It was so freakin' good! If I hadn't been so full I could easily have ordered another one. I temporarily forgot how much I enjoy my rice! So, I had a bit of a weight gain but, I don't necessarly chalk it up to the sushi (raw fish & sodium?). Instead, I think it was the fact that I didn't start drinking my water until about 5:00 last night (BAD GIRL!!! I should have started at 8am) and I went to the casino (lost 1 of my 2 shirts) where I purchased my iced americano w/ SF white chocolate SYRUP instead of the normal powder. The syrup is much sweeter, contains dairy and is higher in calorie count. Oh, well, its all par for the course.

Today brings a new day which I will glady take. I get to work today at my side job and one of my favorate "treats" is the sea salt caramels and caramel covered marshmallows - I must not go near them!!! I will be a success and I will get there....Just give me a minute cause I am running late :)

Well, have a great day and lighter later!!!

P3Day 25 - Saturday

Don't you love the weekends??? I sure do!! I am especially excited about this Saturday! Not because it's a nice day (because it's not - it looks like its going to rain any minute) but, because I actually feel better. Yup, I have been a sicky sick all week - didn't I mention that on Weds? hmm think I did, sorry about the repeat. Anyhow, food really hasn't been tasting that good to me - nothing has flavor - its just blah!! Plus, when sick, my body doesn't seem to ever be hungry. Now typically, not being hungry, not eating and loosing weight while being sick is an exciting thing. But, since my expressed goal right now is to MAINTAIN my LIW for 6 weeks I find the temporary weightloss a potentially hazardous thing. Here is why:

When I get sick, the first thing I want when I get better is SUGAR

I don't drink the beverages I am supposed to drink, because they don't taste good

Foods that aren't typically in my diet anyway, start to sound REAL GOOD

Well, so far, I have been OK but, for the 1st time in a week, I feel the belly moving around and grumblin' like it is HUNGRY! Oh, by the way, my weigh in this morning is 200.8. This is slightly higher than yesterday but, still 3.6 lbs loss since Weds. am weigh in - that's 1.2lbs per day - yikes... I can chalk up about 3 of those pounds to breaking a fever followed by the sweat attack on Weds. night - but really!?!

I have been planning on introducing rice into the diet. When you are on P3 you need to wait 3 weeks before SLOWLY introducing sugar and starches back into the system. I think i am going to NIX the sugar and most starches (potato, corn & bread) but, will accept the rice products. I really want to "Eat Right for My Blood Type" (ERMBT) over the next 3 weeks before I start R2P2 again. ERMBT means no legumes, gluten product, corn, dairy, potato etc... When I get down to my goal weight, I want to continue eating P3 w/ added rice. I like the way my body feels and how satisfied it is when I eat "right".

So anyhow, I had my niece yesterday and we made strawberry cupcakes (Ala Betty Crocker) w/ vanilla strawberry frosting. I finger dipped a few times into the frosting but, stayed out of the cupcakes - YEA ME!!! She had Mac N Cheese (stayed out of that) and she got some Pringles (stayed out of that as well) - I am my own rock star :) Since she stayed the night w/ us and I have her for the day, I think I will take her to Teryiaki for lunch and I will have some sushi. I will let you know how that works out me. I am a bit nervous but, since I have some weight lead way, I will be fine!!

Well, I am off to help my dad pull some trees over, then I will come home and take the kid to ballet then lunch... I can't believe that we are 22 days into April already! How time has been flying by! The Dr. put me on a 6 week hiatus from the shots but, when I calculate, its more like 7. I think I am going to call tomorrow and try to get my Dr. appt. moved up. My DH has decided he would like to try the diet. Luckily, there are other guys out there who have been doing it and have had much success so, I know he will do good. It will be nice to NOT have to make two different meals each night.

So, my weight this am was at 204.4. That is slightly less then LIW but, that is OK. At least I haven't had to have a correction day yet!! One of the sites I belong to, the ladies are always going on correction days. I really don't want that to happen to me. I think it is VERY important for me to do what I have to do to maintain. Stop when I need to and think about what is going into my mouth. It is time for me to take control!! Since I want this more than anything, I will do what it takes! I know I am pushing the envelope w/ a few things but, am pleased overall!

I have been sick the last 3 days so, have been trying to drink alot of H2O. However, today, I have only drunken about 1L of iced tea. I think I need to fill my bottle up and get busy!! One thing that sucks about a cold is food doesn't taste good. I had tuna w/ celery today and couldn't taste the flavors - what a waste!! I think tonight will be bbqued hamburger patties and asparagus.

Again, not much has been happening around here. I was able to put on another 2 pair of pants that haven't fit me in some time. That was pretty exciting. I know I wore one pair last spring but, they were crazy tight. Now they keep sliding down the booty! Most of my 14's are fitting nicely. I think (or hope) by time I get thru w/ the next round, I should be into 12's. That will be nice. It's been a while since that has happened.

Oh, I applied for a promotion at work and apparently, they are letting people know today. Of course, today is my flex day so, here I sit at home - in the dark!! They won't call me here to tell me....its KILLING ME!!! I originally heard they have 3 promotion opportunities.. I have heard of one person who was told NO and 2 who were told YES. That just leaves two of us - and both of us are off today! Oh the pain! I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow unless someone let's it slip today! Either I get it or I don't....Either way, I will still go to work tomorrow!

Well, until the next time I bounce in here! I am off to take a nap :)

Happy Sunny Sunday to All!!

Good morning! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted something here. I really don't have a lot to say today. I haven't been shopping, live is relatively stressless (now that the refi on the house is done), I am blessed DH & I both have jobs and my weight is going DOWN!! What more can I ask for?

This morning when I weighed in, I was at 204.5. This means I have dropped some weight since my LIW. I am chalking the loss up to not enough calories yesterday. When I went to my calorie counter, I only ate about 1650 cal. not enought to keep my weight stabelized where the dear Dr. wants it. I am sure I can make up for it today or over the next couple of days. I have found I am doing better w/ the no wheat thing (haven't craved it) but, man, I am still missing my rice products. I was shopping for the DH yesterday (he has decided to cut back on wheat) and found some great crackers that are rice, flax & sesame seed. They are crazy tastey (yes, I ate 1/2 a serving). I think right before I start R2P2 again I will introduce rice. I have been craving sushi something fierce and would love to load up on it ;)

I have a group of 4 ladies from work who have decided to follow my progress. One of them would love to do HCG but, she is DEATHLY scared of needles and can't see herself giving a shot. I suggested the sublingual but, I don't know?? One of the ladies, who has the same Dr. as me, wants to wait until summer time - and see how I do on R2P2 before committing. This is such an amazing protocal - needles or not - I hope they decide to give it a try. My mom got me into this and i know she has been doing an amazing job. She didn't follow protocol on R2P2 but, all said she has melted away 30lbs. How awesome is that? WTG mom!!! As for her co-workers who joined her?? Ladies, I know you are doing well - Keep up the great support & great work!

Well lighter later - don't give up and don't get frustrated! It took longer than a week to gain the weight, it will take longer than a week to get rid of it!

In Mourning...

So, I have this great pair of Levi's which I LOVE!! I have had them for several years and have gone many miles in them. They have been pretty tight for a while and I had the slight muffin top but, since I wear long baggy shirts, it wasn't noticeable so, I didn't care. Well, I decided to wear these jeans and as of today they are needing to go up in the closet (I am not quite ready for the to go to the Goodwill). I think I had them on for about 20 min. before they started sliding down the butt. YEAH!!! But, BUMMER!!! Since I don't do belts, that isn't even an option. If you remember a few weeks ago I talked about how I cleaned out the closet and found some long lost clothes :) I have been wearing them and enjoying the extra selection of outfits. Today, while I was at Costco, I decided to buy a pair of 14 Calvin Klein jeans. They looked thin but, I figured, what the heck - the price was good & I thought they would be a good pair of goal jeans. Well, when I got home, I decided to try them on (they are stretchy by the way) and did a "WOW! Really? WOW!" I have a slight muffin top w/ these new jeans, and they are a tad tight on the legs but, they looked good.

I was talking to my sister the other day and she told me when I got to goal she was going to buy me a pair of designer jeans (that is what she wears). Apparently, she wasn't too impressed my new pair of Wal-Mart jeans (different then the ones I talked about above). The new Wally world jeans are 14's as well. I am pretty excited the 14's are fitting again (Its been since 2003 when I lost some weight on Weight Watchers).

Anyhow, today I had a TON of errands to run and chose not to eat anything prior to leaving. This was a BAD idea (remember me saying I went to Costco??). Well, I got some spicy cashews (they sounded good) and had a few handfuls. Then I got some dried apricots (besides the prunes they are the only dried fruit w/ no added sugar) and had a handful of them. Then, I went and got my iced coffee w/ white chocolate SF powder added. When I got home, I had some beets and decided I needed to make some iced tea (I only had the coffee up to this point). I feel like I ate all afternoon - I hope this bad eating today doesn't bite me in the ass in the morning. Oh, by the way I was down -.2 from yesterday's weigh in. Not bad :)

Have a great day and lighter later!! Keep up the good work on your endeavors!!

What was I worried about???

Hi! Can you tell me what I was worried about yesterday? Was it weight gain?? Guess what? I weighed this morning and I weighed in at 205.8. Call me crazy but, at the casino that is called breaking even! I was pleasantly suprised that I wasn't up. Especially after all of the cravings I had. That is something I am going to keep an eye on. I was talking to some co-workers and one told me she was staying away from starches. One day she at abut 5 french fries which then turned into an obscene craving for potatoes.... I am one who could live off of potatoes and corn. In fact, I told my DH I could eat potatoes and corn all week for dinner. He bet me I couldn't...he lost!

Anywhooo today was much better. I didn't have the crazy cravings. Which was VERY nice! I did feel like I ate alot - I guess we will see what the scale says tomorrow morning.. It's day by day on this diet. During weight watchers you weigh once a week. I knew if my meetings were on Saturday mornings that I could eat crapy the rest of Saturday, Sunday and Monday and hit the light eating the remainder of the week and weigh down (that's what I call playing the game!). This diet doesn't work that way. I am accountable for each day! So back to today... I stared my day off with 24 oz iced americano (that's water right?) and I ate some mixed hazlenuts & macadamia nuts. For lunch I ate left overs from last night (chicken, asparagus, onion & zuccini). After lunch I snacked on 7 Russell Stover SF caramel bites and an orange. Tonights dinner was a salad w/ Annies light dressing (about 1 1/2T), green beans, sauteed mushrooms & sirloin steak (WHERE'S THE BEEF???). I think the salt from the past 2 days is leaving the system. I drank 24oz ice coffee, 1L iced tea and 1L iced water today. I have been floating and can't stay out of the bathroom - TMI??? Sorry!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow :) I think I am going to be making some coco-crack tomorrow. Sounds super yummy!

Thank God Easter Is Over...

Guess who weighed up this morning???? Yup...it was ME! I weighed in at 205.8! I had a feeling that was going to happen. Mostly because i didn't drink alot of water on Friday or Saturday and I knew we would be eating ham for Easter. As far as portions go, I really didn't eat very much but, I would taste the saltiness of the ham plus, it had a very sweet and tasty honey glaze on it. I also had about 1/8 c of cheesy potatoes and green beans w/ bacon. These were the first potatoes i have have in almost 2 months... Needless to say, by time I got done eating dinner last night my stomach was so sore! I was in so much pain - it just wasn't right. I was glad to get home and rest.

I found it pretty amazing on how messed up your system can get by eating a bit of starch and sugar (the ham glaze) when you haven't eaten it for so long. This morning was the first time in a VERY long time that I had cravings! I actually went to McD's this morning. I bought 2 - YES 2 - egg mcmuffins. I threw the muffins out and ate the egg, ham & cheese off one sandwich and the egg & ham off the other. I can't believe I did that but, I had the cravings. I know it was from the sugar yesterday! I was a bad girl and didn't pack my lunch today so, I had to either starve or eat out. I chose out... I went to Happy Terriyaki and got the chicken veggi bowl w/ NO sauce. I got a bunch of fried greasy veggies w/ marinated chicken on top. Again, not a wise choice... I am sure the chicken had sugar in it. Within 30 min. of eating my stomach was all jacked up again!! Dang Nab IT!!

So, tonight wasn't all bad. Had chicken, asparagus, zucchini & onion stir fry. Plus, i added a tomato. This will be my lunch for tomorrow - left overs!!! If I am more than the 2lb requirement in the morning, I am not going on a steak day. I decided if I am up (which I feel i will be) I want to give it one more day to balance out. I really feel the difference is in the Sunday/Monday sugars and the extra salt from ham and beans. Today I have drinken my 2L of tea/water. I will do the same tomorrow. If I am still up over 2 on Weds then correction day it will be.

Oh.... i am sleepy so, I am going to go pick out tomorrows outfit and head to bed. have a good one!! More later!

R1P3 Day 11

Happy Easter everyone!! I hope the Easter Bunny found his/her way to your house :) I know the bunny skipped right past this place as the dishes are still in the sink and the floors haven't been swept!!

So, this morning I weighted in at 205.0lbs. I am pleased that I have been within my 2lb requirement for the past 11 days. I haven't needed any protein days (aka Steak days) but, I have been eating a ton of red meat. I swear I was a caveman in a previous life (isn't that what they ate? A ton of red meat? hmmm I don't know but, lets say they did :)

Here is what has been going on the past few days. I loaded up on the Russell Stovers sugar free chocolates because they sounded good but, after about 5 (yes 5) I decided they really aren't all that. I didn't find them sweet enough for me. I think I am getting used to my own coconut crack which is pretty sweet. Now don't get me wrong, this DOES NOT mean I am going to give them up, it just means I am not going to make them a part of my "must have it now" foods. Those raw cacao nib truffles I told you about on Friday, on the other hand, will be a "must have" splurge (they aren't that cheap) and I will use those to fill the super craving.

So, yesterday, I went to lunch w/ my dear high school buddy and we went to Ruby Tuesdays. What a great restaurant! I ordered the lunch Turkey Burger Mini's w/ salad bar. When I ordered I asked for NO bun on the burgers and instead of fries I requested the mashed cauliflower (I heard it was good there - and it was). This order was no problem for them. When my mini's came out, they had the lettuce, tomato, special mayo and pickle on top of the patties. My girlfriend (who had never eaten there) got the same thing as me and was pleasantly surprised on how tasty everything was. I found my meal out to be a great SUCCESS!!! Yea me...at least for an hour because it was in that time I gorged on the RS SF candies!

We are headed to my sisters in-laws for Easter dinner and I am the one bringing the sweet treats. I ended up making my special Chocolate Turtle Cake (lots of caramel in it) and a 4 layer carrot cake w/ a pudding type filling & cream cheese frosting. I am proud to say that I didn't taste but 1/2 table spoon of filling or frosting. I relied on the husband for flavor testing :) If there are any leftovers, they will be going to work w/ me tomorrow for I don't want those cakes in this house... temptation is not friend buy my enemy!

I am a bit worried about tonight's dinner. I think I going to have to rely on the fresh fruit to fill me up. I don't want to eat too much ham for its pretty salty and won't be eating the cheesy potatoes cause of the potatoes and all the cheese... Hopefully there will some other, more healthy choices.

Well Peeps (that is friend not sugar coated marshmallows) have a good Easter and we will fill you in with more goodness later!!

TGIF!!!

Happy Friday!!! I am pleased to report that this mornings nako weight was 205.4. A bit over a week and about 1 1/2 cups of coconut oil later, I have been able to maintain. I talked about the "coco crack" yesterday and I have decided it would be in my best interest to cut back. So, I went to this health food market I found out about in Tacoma. The name of the store is Marlene's Market (http://www.marlenesmarket-deli.com/) and it is the most amazing natural foods store I have been in (not a big fan of Whole Foods but LUV Trader Joes). While in there...ohhing and ahhhing over everything... I bought some Cacao Bliss (http://www.premierorganics.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=66&Itemid=35), Coconut Oil, and UliMana Cacao nib truffles. As a person who doesn't care for chocolate.... I don't like where this new found love is going :) Anyhow, if you want an expensive tasty treat, I recommend the truffles. They are considered a "raw" food and one truffle goes a long way. They are very rich but very satisfying for the sweet tooth. The store also had some great options for my lactose intolerant husband. It was excited to have choices for soy yogurt, different cheeses etc.

I will be going back to Marlene's in the next week or so to see if they have the SweetLeaf vanilla liquid stevia I have been looking for. They had almost all the flavors but the ones I wanted (Toffee, Vanilla or Chocolate) for my iced coffee. I did buy NuNaturals Vanilla stevia and I found it to be most disappointing. It took ALOT to get some flavor and by then, I could taste the alcoholy flavor of the vanilla - ICK! As for SweetLeaf, I did buy the Valencia Orange to flavor my ice water and it has been very nice and refreshing. I have found that about 4 drops flavors my 1L of ice water perfectly. Not strong - just a very mild hint that something else is in there. If you have been looking at different Stevia's, this has been a winner on my list.

It's been a few days....

Well hello there... As you may know my LIW was 205.2 and this morning, exactly 1 week on P3 my weight is at 205.6. I am not at all worried about the .04 gain - that is nothing for a week of eating all sorts of foods. I am glad to have all of the food options back.

I did notice I was a bit wacky with my food from Saturday to Yesterday. I ate and ate and then suddenly I realized that I really wasn't that hungry...so what is that about? I keep coming back to something I heard in Weight Watchers... I remember the leader saying "ask yourself, are you hunger or is it appetite?" I think for the most part, its appetite - not hunger.

I am finding I am somewhat missing the period bread, noodles or rice. And need to keep coming up w/ different food options to satisfy that craving. Since I got the grissini on P2, I have chosen to stay away from them during P3. I don't want to get tired of it before I start P2 again. In fact, I am trying to stay away from some of those veggie's I leaned on so much (ie..onions, spinach). Asparagus is the only exception to that rule :)

So anyhow, I am a user at www.happilythinnerafter.com and was on one of the forums and they were talking about using coconut oil on P3. In there they talked about all the benefits of using the oil and how the body doesn't absorb it like other oils. So, I decided, what the heck...there was a recipe for "coco crack" (as someone called it) so, I decided to make it. The ingredients called for 1c of coconut oil, 4T of coco powder, 1t of vanilla and about 6 (or so) packets of Stevia powder (I mixed in some almond butter too). It is then blended really good and then poured onto a cookie sheet (make sure it's covered w/ wax paper) and thrown into the freezer to harden. When its done break it up into small pieces.... The first bite was questionable, then before I knew it...I was addicted. No I know where "coco crack" came from :). Just remember, if you make this, you need to keep in in the fridge or freeze cause the melting point of solid coco oil is like 72 degrees. Anyhow, I ended up eating all the coco crack and purchased some coconut butter. That stuff is amazing to. I found I could eat it off the spoon it was so good... The only ingredient is coconut...hmm..

Well, I will check back in a few days. Have a good day and lighter later!

What was I thinking????

Well, I woke up yesterday morning and my nako weight was down to 203.2 and this morning (with undies) it was slightly up to 203.4. I know I am not supposed to be loosing but, I guess since my LIW was 205.2 I am technically within 2 lbs so all is good.....at least today.... you know what they say, it takes 2 days for your body to catch up to the good/bad choices one makes in a day :) So, do you want to know what I am worried about? Here we go...

Yesterday (Saturday) the DH a couple of friends and I went up to the Seattle ComicCon show. It was an awesome day... we had fun but, sometime throughout the day you have to eat. Since I am officially on P3 and past the VLCD (yesterday at 9 am I went past the 72 hr last shot - can eat phase) I knew I could eat w/o too much restraint. About noon our friend was like - I think we need lunch! I agreed so, off we went. Since the Cheesecake Factory was right across the street, that is where we chose to go. Luckily, before we went to Seattle, I had already planned we were going to eat there so I had studied their menu online. I chose to get the "Weight Management Grilled Chicken" meal. The calorie count was 580 and included asparagus and white steamed rice. Knowing that I can't have rice I ordered it w/ green beans and asked that none of the veggies get cooked w/ oil (at 580 cal I am sure they are cooked in H2O anyway). Then the kicker... after everyone ordered they brought the basket of bread. If you have ever been to CF then you know their pumpernickel bread is to die for. Guess what? It took every inch of will power I had but, I DIDN'T eat ANY!!! oh...... Lunch was great... as we sat their, my girlfriend was like, we need to leave now or I am going to get some cheesecake. GOOD CALL!!! Had she gotten a slice, I would have asked for a bite. So, not so bad huh??? Well, here's the kicker...

On our way home, we needed to stop at Trader Joes (my grocery store of choice). By then, I was filling a bit snacky so, needed something to munch on. A good choice would have been an apple, orange or some other fruit. My choice? Wasabi Peas (only a handful cause the DH would eat the rest), oh these Tom Sum covered Cashews look good (only need a few cause the DH will eat the rest) mmmm these curry covered pumpkin seeds look yummm (only need a few cause the DH will eat the rest) - you get the point. I got all these crazy nuts and at at some of each. Needless to say, by time I got home, I was wanting my protein. We had green beans (I sure missed my beans on P2) and filet of beef. Dinner was scrumdilish.... I just know the nuts are going to kick my ass. I hadn't had so much fatties in a long time (PS - I did have a mild tummy ache afterwards)... UGH!!!

Today will be better. I did make a birthday cake for the DH last night but, I won't be eating that (oh, I didn't tell you about the plate of brownies at my friends place - the smell was amazing but, the fingers didn't got near it!!! VICTORY!!!).

Well, now it is Sunday, the day needs to be started. I think we are going to to go for a long motorcycle ride. Have a great day!

Is it really gone???

Well, my nako weight this morning was one pound less then yesterday morning. I weighed in at 204.2. I know the Dr. said to start maintaining but, I am still on the VLCD. How do you maintaining while eating nothing?? Pretty hard if you ask me.

Let me tell you, I think that crazy but amazing HCG is leaving the building. I was getting so hungry tonight that for the first time in 37 days I was finding myself getting crazy crabby! Poor DH! I got home from working an 11 hr shift and got the "whats for dinner?" So there I was making my delicious dinner (asparagus and beef...again) I ended up w/ a few forks of his instant mashers. As of this very moment, my stomach is freaking out. I don't think my fork fulls was quite an 1/8 of a cup but, all that crap that I haven't had in a while.. what is tomorrow going to bring? What is tomorrow you ask? Well, it is my first official day of P3. UGH...

I am craving a nice juicy steak and a salad w/ lots of veggies or maybe even green bean. I love green beans and miss them very much. I think I am going to start making smoothies in the mornings. I really think I need to start eating breakfast. In the past (not while on P2) it was usually an iced mocha or some other iced coffee drink. I would like to keep up w/ the iced teas in the morning. I really did enjoy them this past month.

Well, tomorrow we are headed up to Seattle for the Comic-Con. It will be my first venture away from the house and only the second time since the end of Feb. where I have eaten out. Oh, did I tell you about that?? I went to Seattle on Wednesday and we at an Indian Restaurant. Since I was still on P2 I wanted to make sure I was good. Needless to say, I was VERY proud of myself. I didn't have any rice, lentils or naan. I had chicken and spinach. I asked for no oil or cream in my dinner. It was pleasantly good and didn't upset my stomach or anything. That made me feel pretty good. But, looking back on it right now, I think that is why I had the corn chip yesterday. I had 3 baskets of naan w/ fresh garlic sitting in front of me and I did everything in my power to ignore them. I think the chip was my breaking point? Do you think if I had a small bite the chip/mash potatoes incident wouldn't have happened?? Hmmmmm.

Well, I am out of here. A long day today and an even longer one tomorrow - I need my rest :)

Happy April EVERYONE!!!

HELLO P3! Well....almost! I went to the Dr. today for my weigh in. I usually weigh myself in the AM which would have resulted in a better weigh in at the Dr.'s then at 3 this afternoon. Oh well... My ticker and naked self say I am down 22.8 lbs (205.2) but, the scale at Doc's was 19.5 (208.5). Either way, I will take it! I had clothes on this afternoon, had consumed 1L of water and had my lunch & fruit. Anyhow, I will use yesterday mornings weight & this morning's weight (which were the same by the way) and that will be my LIW.

Dear ol' doc says the key to P3 is NOT to loose any more weight or gain any more wait but to maintain the weight I am right now (I wouldn't mind getting the naked weight to 200). I might work on that - not work on it like P1 work on it but, be cautious and careful. She wants me back in 6 weeks - I was thinking more like 4 - but 6 sounds nice. But, if my DH wants to do this with me, I may end up buying my own supplies and starting us sooner.

Oh yea, so, I left her office w/o asking when I can officially start P3 so, I called. I was told P3 starts 72 hrs. after the last injection. Since my last injection was at 9am on 4/1 - 72 hrs later is 9am on 4/4...Just in time for the trip up to Seattle this weekend. I cant wait to eat something besides onions, cuc's, asparagus, lettuce and spinach!!!

Should I tell you now that in 35 days of taking shots the only cheat I had was on sliver of olive off of a piece of pizza - that was it!!! Today, I waiting too long to fix dinner and at 1 (yes only ONE) corn chip - did I tell you how much I hated them? Well, the salt was yummy but over all it was icky. One meesly chip was 20 calories! How HORRIBLE is that! Oh, and I had one dime size bite of pizza. I can't be doing this. This is what got me into trouble in the first place. I bet I am up 6 pounds tomorrow and will need an apple day for my last day on VLCD. ughhhhhh

Moving on....

Some things I learned this last month:
1. Drink lots of water - I was good about this. Between my tea, coffee and water I got in 2L of beverage.
2. Take magnesium - the lack of BM's was HORRIBLE and irritating (if you know what I mean).
3. No salt is a good thing
4. Experiment with the foods you can eat - don't be plain or boredom will set in.
5. The vanilla setvia from Nu-Naturals SUCKS!! Its not sweet and tastes like alcohol. I like the vanilla splenda but doc freaked out when I mentioned it (but it's sooo good!)

Well, more later - I will let you know tomorrow how much I gained from a dime bite of pizza and a corn chip! Lighter later...M

R1P2 Day 34

Loss of -1.1 this morning :)

YEA!!! Only one more shot left before I am on P3! I can't wait for all the extra veggies and extra meat. I was looking in my vial this morning and I barely have enough for my shot - I will only be injecting 100cc instead of 125cc. I think I was doing something wrong when filling my needles. I put the 12.5 cc of air in the needle, injected into the bottle, filled my syringe. But, sometimes when I pulled my needle out, HCG would ooze out.. I guess it was just enough to shorten my dose for tomorrow. Guess I will have to ask about it when I see the Dr. on Thursday.

For the most part, the last 35 days have gone quickly. Tonight I made my DH some toast for his dinner, man it smelled so good... I refrained... once I knew it got cold, it didn't seem that good - thank goodness. I will need to make sure I don't delve into the temptation. Anyhow, tomorrow night, I am going to Seattle with my mom, we are going out to eat, I just need to be good and eat protocol.

I plan on being on P3 until April 30th. I want to take my first shot on May 1st and start the load. If I am good, maybe I can drop a few pounds during P3. My goal between now and the 1st part of June will be an additional 30 lbs... Wish me luck :)

Well, I will let you all know what tomorrow brings :) Lighter Later!

Cont...from twice in one day

Well I am back to finish what I started the last time I posted. I just wanted to finish up my results. So, sit back and here we go...

Day 17 -1.7
Day 18 1.6 Another bad weigh in on Sunday...Still can't figure this out. I think it has something to do with the time I get up and the time in which meals are eaten...must get better w/ this.
Day 19 -.2
Day 20 -.3
Day 21 -2.3
Day 22 -.3
Day 23 -.8
Day 24 .3
Day 25 -1.1
Day 26 .8
Day 27 -.4 Needed to have an apple day - I thought the extra fiber in the apples would help. Had a small BM late that night. It worked but left me extra tired.
Day 28 -1.8
Day 29 -.9
Day 30 .8 I don't know what the weight gain was all about. Thurs. I ate spinach/chick/straw salad and chicken/asparagus - I don't think I got my 2Lof beverage in on Thurs - maybe?
Day 31 -.8 Got no more than 1L of beverage again- but didn't gain..hmm no 2nd fruit. Looking forward to other veggie choices in a week :) I am sure if I drink all my h2o today I will have gain tomorrow.
Day 32 -.6
Day 33 -.5
Day 34 -1.1

Well, this is what I have for you now... Don't punish me!

I decided I would dedicate this post to my results over the past month...here we go!

Feb. 26 Today was first weigh in at the Dr.'s office & 1st shot - oh yea - LOAD DAY #1 (McD's)
Day 2 Another load day - Prime Rib dip, onion rings, ice cream - yummy!
Day 3 + 1.8 Last load day - Not feeling hungy...what to do? Ate a big steak w/ potatoe & sour cream
Day 4 +.2 first VLCD. Over the prior 3 days gained 2 lbs. I am OK with that because it should leave the body quickly - atleast that is what they say. I was pleasently suprised that I wasn't hungry today. Come to think of it, I really didn't have any cravings...hmm... is this for real?
Day 5 -.6 second day went well no problems.
Day 6 -2.6 I was SO TIRED at work today. I have a stash of candy in my drawer and I wanted to eat it. Not that it would help but dang it already! The sugar high would be nice. I refrained.
Day 7 -2.4 All well - didn't eat any of my bread options - by choice
Day 8 -.2 ohh what happened? I think because I slept in and didn't start my tea early, didn't eat lunch until almost 3 then dinner at 6 my body didn't have time to work off the lunch - I better be more careful about eating lunch earlier. I did get my 2L of beverage today (tea & water).
Day 9 -1.2 Another bordem day at work. Wanted to munch munch munch but didn't. YEA ME!
Day 10 -1.0 Went to the Casino w/ family. At a salad from the snack bar and they had buffet. Did eat 1 almond on the way up there. Beside that was great all day.
Day 11 -.2 Dissapointed by my loss. I was so good....could it have been the 1 almond? Please!?!
Day 12 -1.2 Large loss? Not really - bought a new, more friendly scale. The old scale repored a loss of nothing - it was break even w/ day 11.
Day 13 -1.2
Day 14 -1.1
Day 15 -.4 I need to watch my Weds. (flex day). I Don't drink as much water and not eating as set time like week days. Made cake for the co-workers - didn't even lick my fingers - YEA ME. Hopefully they eat the whole pan because I don't want to bring any home.
Day 16 -1.6 Stomach growled A LOT today!! Ate fruit early, which I have never done. Cuc's & shrimp for lunch. "chili" for dinner. 1/2 way thru dinner wasn't hungry any more but, ate it all anyway.

Well....this is all I have for now. I need to get ready for work. Maybe I will enlighten you with the remining 14 days tonight or maybe tomorrow? Have great day!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://michellehas2labs.blogspot.com/2009/03/twice-in-one-day-dont-punish-me.html' title='Twice in one day? YES!!!

R1P2 Day 32
-.6 melted overnight
-20.7 lbs of fat melted since shot #1

I'm back to say that yesterday was not like the prior 3 Saturdays. I actually lost .6lbs! It might not seem like much but after the past few weekends I will take it!

So, yesterday I went on and on about how things were going but one thing I didn't mention is that yesterday was the first noticeable day where I wanted to get into my husbands stash of food. He has Frito Lay Corn Chips - typically I can't stand them (that's why I buy them) but, yesterday... a whole nother story - don't worry - I didn't sway - I just sat at my computer and looked at the kitchen from a-far and ignored the temptation.

And then, I have a friend who's birthday is today. In celebration, I always let them decide what type of "birthday dessert" they would like to have. Well, he chose carrot cake w/ cream cheese frosting. It was EVERYTHING I could do to keep my fingers out of it. I had to have my husband (who is lactose intolerant) taste the frosting to make sure it was OK. How hard is that? "Excuse me honey, I know you will get sick but, will you please taste this?" Lame huh? If I were to take a taste - I would have eaten and had to make a new batch.

I think what is happening to me is I know I am only 3 short days away from my LIW and about ready to start P3 and mind is playing tricks on me. My body isn't telling me anything is wrong - its satisfied - its my mind! My mind and its LOVE for food is ready to eat more protein & mixed veggie's at dinner time. To tell you the truth, the angel on the left shoulder is ready as is the devil on the right shoulder - they are both in agreeance.

So, last night before I went to bed I went shopping in my closet. I am happy to report that all the clothes in my closet fit again.. Back in 2003 the DH and I went on WW and lost a nice amount of weight so, new clothes were purchased. Needless to say, I found that weight again (by choice - I will tell you more about that later) and the clothes were saved for another day - TODAY! My wardrobe has expanded by 30% :)

Well, have a good day and lighter later!

M

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://michellehas2labs.blogspot.com/2009/03/nogain-saturday-yes.html' title='NoGain Saturday!!! Almost 1 week ago I decided I would start blogging my experiences - how has that gone you ask? Well, it's been a week since I have been here...Need I say more??

Well, as of today I only have 4 days left of shots and then I shortly there after I get to start phase 3. I am SO EXCITED to be able to eat other vegetables and eat a bigger steak. It will all happen just in time for my husbands birthday dinner :)

I got involved with HCG through my mom. Her natropathic Dr. discussed the protocal with her and she thought "why not". Needless to say, her first round was EXTREMELY successful so, I decided to give it a shot. I must say it is amazing how well it works. As the great Dr. implies, the pounds & inches are sheading.

As easy as the diet has been, it has also been extremely difficult at times. As other bloggers have noted the BM's are not as frequent as they used to be (aka the times I ate JUNK). In so much that I went several days (almost 5) w/o one. So, I put myself on a apple day just to see if the extra fiber in apples would help. Well, it did but, that day I could only stomach 3 apples. There was no way I was going to be able to eat 6 in the 24 hour window....icky!

I too get frustrated at times. You fell that eating 500 calories a day you should have a dip in the scale everytime you step on it - I mean, that's what it is all about right? Well, I am here to tell you that its not! And you shouldn't get frustrated when you see a positive number. For some reason (I am sure I know what it is) the weekends are HORRIBLE for me. Each Sat. morning I weigh down but, Sunday morning I am up and then Monday is a reduction of oh... about .2. I have decided that on the weekends what happens is I am not up at 5:30am getting ready for work and starting to drink my ice teas. Instead, I am sleeping until 7-8 getting up and lallygagging around until about 11 or so then fix my tea. Next thing I know its about 2:30 or so and i still haven't eaten lunch. So, I get my bites to eat. By 7 or so I am thinking I best eat dinner (skipping a meal doesn't help w/ the weight or the way my body feels). I think the meals are too close thus the gain on Sundays. I guess we will see what happens when I weigh in the morning??

So here are my meals for this Saturday:
B - got an iced coffee about 1:00 (first beverage for the day) and I put French Vanilla Splenda in it (I know I'm not supposed to have Splenda but the Vanilla Stevia drops are HORRIBLE!! - I have the one w/ alcohol in it and I can taste it in the coffee)
L - Vegi broth w/ spinich & crab and 2 breadsticks (ate at 3:00 - and I know I should only have 1 stick)
D - Chicken & Asparagus (ate at 8:00)

No fruit today - was going to make a strawberry slushy but, it's too late to eat anything.

Lighter Later :) M

First Day Trying out the BLOG..

Today is my first day of trying to blog.
