TGIF!!!

Happy Friday!!! I am pleased to report that this mornings nako weight was 205.4. A bit over a week and about 1 1/2 cups of coconut oil later, I have been able to maintain. I talked about the "coco crack" yesterday and I have decided it would be in my best interest to cut back. So, I went to this health food market I found out about in Tacoma. The name of the store is Marlene's Market (http://www.marlenesmarket-deli.com/) and it is the most amazing natural foods store I have been in (not a big fan of Whole Foods but LUV Trader Joes). While in there...ohhing and ahhhing over everything... I bought some Cacao Bliss (http://www.premierorganics.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=66&Itemid=35), Coconut Oil, and UliMana Cacao nib truffles. As a person who doesn't care for chocolate.... I don't like where this new found love is going :) Anyhow, if you want an expensive tasty treat, I recommend the truffles. They are considered a "raw" food and one truffle goes a long way. They are very rich but very satisfying for the sweet tooth. The store also had some great options for my lactose intolerant husband. It was excited to have choices for soy yogurt, different cheeses etc.

I will be going back to Marlene's in the next week or so to see if they have the SweetLeaf vanilla liquid stevia I have been looking for. They had almost all the flavors but the ones I wanted (Toffee, Vanilla or Chocolate) for my iced coffee. I did buy NuNaturals Vanilla stevia and I found it to be most disappointing. It took ALOT to get some flavor and by then, I could taste the alcoholy flavor of the vanilla - ICK! As for SweetLeaf, I did buy the Valencia Orange to flavor my ice water and it has been very nice and refreshing. I have found that about 4 drops flavors my 1L of ice water perfectly. Not strong - just a very mild hint that something else is in there. If you have been looking at different Stevia's, this has been a winner on my list.
