HELLO P3! Well....almost! I went to the Dr. today for my weigh in. I usually weigh myself in the AM which would have resulted in a better weigh in at the Dr.'s then at 3 this afternoon. Oh well... My ticker and naked self say I am down 22.8 lbs (205.2) but, the scale at Doc's was 19.5 (208.5). Either way, I will take it! I had clothes on this afternoon, had consumed 1L of water and had my lunch & fruit. Anyhow, I will use yesterday mornings weight & this morning's weight (which were the same by the way) and that will be my LIW.
Dear ol' doc says the key to P3 is NOT to loose any more weight or gain any more wait but to maintain the weight I am right now (I wouldn't mind getting the naked weight to 200). I might work on that - not work on it like P1 work on it but, be cautious and careful. She wants me back in 6 weeks - I was thinking more like 4 - but 6 sounds nice. But, if my DH wants to do this with me, I may end up buying my own supplies and starting us sooner.
Oh yea, so, I left her office w/o asking when I can officially start P3 so, I called. I was told P3 starts 72 hrs. after the last injection. Since my last injection was at 9am on 4/1 - 72 hrs later is 9am on 4/4...Just in time for the trip up to Seattle this weekend. I cant wait to eat something besides onions, cuc's, asparagus, lettuce and spinach!!!
Should I tell you now that in 35 days of taking shots the only cheat I had was on sliver of olive off of a piece of pizza - that was it!!! Today, I waiting too long to fix dinner and at 1 (yes only ONE) corn chip - did I tell you how much I hated them? Well, the salt was yummy but over all it was icky. One meesly chip was 20 calories! How HORRIBLE is that! Oh, and I had one dime size bite of pizza. I can't be doing this. This is what got me into trouble in the first place. I bet I am up 6 pounds tomorrow and will need an apple day for my last day on VLCD. ughhhhhh
Moving on....
Some things I learned this last month:
1. Drink lots of water - I was good about this. Between my tea, coffee and water I got in 2L of beverage.
2. Take magnesium - the lack of BM's was HORRIBLE and irritating (if you know what I mean).
3. No salt is a good thing
4. Experiment with the foods you can eat - don't be plain or boredom will set in.
5. The vanilla setvia from Nu-Naturals SUCKS!! Its not sweet and tastes like alcohol. I like the vanilla splenda but doc freaked out when I mentioned it (but it's sooo good!)
Well, more later - I will let you know tomorrow how much I gained from a dime bite of pizza and a corn chip! Lighter later...M

Just my two cents, but I'd listen to your doctor about maintaining. The most important part of the protocol is reseting the hypothalamus to recognize your new weight. Some people say that happens in P2 while others say it happens in P3. Just don't sabotage yourself and all the hard work you've done so far. Now that I've given you my sternest lecture :), CONGRATULATIONS!!!
